Our Peer Health Workers are available to aid parents of multiples by providing information, support, and guidance both during pregnancy and after the babies’ arrival. Peer Health Workers are trained by the Public Health Unit of the Region of Waterloo.

Peer Health Workers are an important resource for parents expecting multiples as they provide support and guidance through email, telephone, in-home and sometimes hospital visits during and after pregnancy.

They also set up and conduct Expectant Parent Meetings and monthly playgroups, deliver expectant parent packages, and have access to equipment for loan or rental (example: triple strollers, breast pumps and breastfeeding pillows).

If you are expecting or have newborn multiples, you are invited to contact our Peer Health Workers, Venassa Purdy at venassa@kwpomba.ca or Jil Mangel at jil@kwpomba.ca or Aleah Wagner at aleah@kwpomba.ca to help support you with your new additions.
